A note from Dr. Tom Lendvay, Singletto Chief Medical Officer
Thank you for your participation in this Proof of Concept.
As a pediatric surgeon, my priorities have and always will be health and safety of patients and healthcare professionals. Unfortunately, we have accepted masks and PPE that don’t go far enough in providing safe protection from pathogens. Our gear shouldn’t just trap pathogens, it should kill pathogens. And it should do so perpetually.
I was proud to serve as lead author of the recent 52-researcher, WHO- and CDC-initiated, worldwide study on mask decontamination. I saw first-hand how applying principles of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) to coronavirus-infected masks and PPE lead to complete … and perpetual … inactivation of virus.
Singletto exists to bring this pathogen-destroying technology to the healthcare sector, and beyond.
The spray you are holding today contains protective dyes that when sprayed on soft surfaces can perpetually inactivate 99.9% of pathogens within five minutes. One application can provide inactivation of pathogens throughout your whole workday. That’s pretty powerful.
But Singletto is much more than a spray. Oxafence in this POC represents a paradigm shift from post-process decontamination to in-use perpetual disinfection.
We constantly face risk of exposure to virus, bacteria, and fungi. Interacting with patient bed sheets, curtains, and gowns … doffing our own gowns, booties, caps, gloves, and masks … touching elevator buttons, railings, machines …
Someday soon, all of these items could contain Oxafence active-protection technology. We could enjoy the peace of mind that the products and equipment on and around us are actively and perpetually disinfecting themselves.
Hopefully this vision for the future resonates with you. Thank you for being a leader in enhancing the safety of our work environments.
